Knowledge Transfer Partnership
UK-PHS has teamed up with the University of Leeds for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to further develop the OwnHealth model. The KTP aims to validate, develop and improve the UK-PHS model in a wide range of socio-economic groupings and in much greater numbers and intends to explore the impact of the use of assisted tele-health and tele-care technologies as sustainable and scalable technologies anywhere within the UK. The Centre of Innovation in Health Management (CIHM) at the University of Leeds provides a unique source of expertise in the evaluation and development of co-produced health services. The partnership will draw upon this expertise to engage service users, care managers, GPs and other stakeholders more closely in the development of “OwnHealth” and to extend the model to new disease areas, new health communities and a wider range of socio-economic groups within the UK.
